We are one week away from the big event many call Christmas, and no one questions where did this come from and God forbid someone such as myself say I do not follow traditions of men!…………But is’nt this the persecution Jesus spoke of would happen if you no longer do as you used and has called us from the ways of the world? Oh how I fit in when my house was all decorated at this time of year, never questioned where it all came from and why would I?. Afterall the word Christmas has the name Christ in it and everyone is doing it more than not so it must be right …..Right??? There is a reason that on the wide path that leads to destruction many find it…….But on the narrow path that leads to life very few find it, and if they do the persecution sometimes guilt’s them back into the traditions.
God is a Holy God and he expects his children to do as he asks and follow his truth no matter how unpopular it is. If he says: To be friends of the world is to be his enemy, I believe him. If he says: We are to serve him in Spirit and in Truth, I believe him.

I have quit looking to the world for answers and look back at things I did without asking any question’s like………………
1.) Can reindeer really Fly?
2.) Can a person let alone a fat man in a red suit really fit down a chimney?
3.) Does Santa exist?
4.) Is it true everytime a bell rings an angel gets his wings?
5.) If you sing “I’m dreaming of a white christmas”.What then do people sing in the states without snow?
6.) December is the season of giving……I’ve read God loves a cheerful giver and doesn’t give the month for that.
7.) If God is Love and he is why do people say OH! The stress of the holidays? God’s way is of Peace and not chaos or confusion.
8.) Cutting down a pine tree and putting it in your house and decorate with lights and ornaments.How again does that Honor God?
9.) Is there instructions on a mistle toe plant that says when you hang it people will want to kiss?
10.) God’s word is clear on all his instructions for us….Where again is the passage “When my Son dies, celebrate and call it Christmas?
Since I no longer live as the world does and am in great company with my Lord who gives me the words that he too suffered at the hands of those he didn’t follow, I am left with his words…”REMEMBER THEY HATED ME BEFORE THEY HATED YOU!
“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you”.(John 15:18,19).
WHY again do you believe in all these lie’s? How many of your enemies will be getting a gift?

Jen…….Yes the Lord is very patient, But as a Christian we are told to not serve traditions of men and this will make the children of the world very uncomfortable.I had a tree up and decorated for many years til I got fed up with “It’s the season of giving”, “It’s the holiday season”, “Where is your holiday spirit?”There are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit NOT ONE of these are listed in scripture and the more one searches for God the Father then the more he reveals to you as his child.(Jeremiah 29:13).(Deuteronomy 4:29-31).There are children of the world (The Disobedient) and there are children of God (The Obedient).Jesus calls us out of the world and we no longer live as we once did…..We are forever changed as a servant fit for the Kingdom. “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ”.(Galatians 1:10).The world and it’s ways will always be at odds with God’s Holy Way’s. He knows your heart Jen, He will never leave you or forsake you……He holds true to his promises.I have learned this truth 28 years ago and never went back to those who persecute me for not following the worlds way and God has kept me to this day.To God Be The Glory!God Bless You.

I love to see posts like this. I get so worn down with the Christian cliches this time of year. I just grow tired of it. But who am I to be tired of anything? If the Lord has sat and watched our rebellion since the beginning of time- then I can have the patience to pray that people will wake up and walk in truth.

My husband and I are just coming, late I am ashamed to say, to understand the pagan day we have long celebrated. We took the tree down and spoke to family members but they, so far, have not received the truth. God did speak of the narrow road and we should get on it!

Yes, I am coming late to understand this also. When I was first shown this, I went straight to the Bible, and of course searched throughout the History books to either prove or disprove the theory of pagan rituals. What I found was proof beyond reproach. If this had been a Biblical festival it would have been talked about by Jesus, and written in the acts of the Apostles as such. Instead I found verse after verse calling for us to depart from the world and it’s way’s. To come out of the world. 1John 15-17 ‘Do not love the world, if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.’ That pretty much describes what this is about. The greed and lust exhibited in the shopping habits of people, to the gifts given, for what? Is the expensive gift you give meant for God? Is it a gift to the poor and suffering here and in the world, or is it lustful things of the world? Then I was reading Hebrews 13 and it hit this home for me. One verse describes it all, Paul was giving instructions on how they should live it’s an amazing chapter, the High priests used to take their blood sacrifice into the Holy of Holies for sanctification, and the bodies of these sacrifices were burned outside the city. Verse12-13 ‘Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.’ It took me a minute to understand this was yet another call for us to come out of the world, go outside the ‘city.’ Take the narrow path as you pointed out. Jesus gave us one thing to remember, it was His last and He gave us the remembrance of His Body and His Blood. ‘And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them saying, “This is My body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of Me.” He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.” He Said “Do this in remembrance of me.” Wow, different from what we have done to this celebration, it’s not what He said to do in remembrance of Him. But this is what really hit it home to me, my research on pagan festivals and Saturnella. And how it was deliberately incorporated into our beliefs. I guess no one wanted to go against Rome. When Christianity was made the religion of Rome by Constantine, he had to placate everyone, so they incorporated their festivals into Christianity. This is the truth, sad but true. Remember I tried to prove this wrong, but couldn’t. I could only prove it right. Not Ashamed…The children of the world will always fight for what they want, But God will win in the end. Jesus was against the odds of the world and he overcame and conquered it as we must tell of his way today in our time for that is what we are called to do no matter how unpopular it is.God Bless You.

Thank you Julia for posting the truth’s revealed through God’s word. And yes we who speak the truth, the messengers so to speak are hated. I have never seen so many especially Christians voicing loud rebukes and accusations against each other as I have lately. Instead of reading something as I do, and pray and search the scriptures to find the truth, they immediately take to their keyboard to say ‘How dare you.’ Thank you for speaking the truth. It led me to seek and what I found surprised me. We will stand together.
