Report: Lesbian Pastors Violate Methodist Book of Discipline and Wed Each Other…..

Methodist pastors

Methodist pastors Christie Newbill (l) and Joanne Brown (r) defied their church and got married to each other on Dec. 7, 2013, in Seattle, Wash.

I read this story and I literally cried.  Not because two women married, that is their choice.  To choose a life of sin or a life with God.  Not because they are ministers, I cried because of the twisting of my Saviors Gospel.  They can do whatever they want, they can live however they want.  God loves them, he does want repentance though and turning to His commandments and gospel instead of their own fleshly desires, but He loves them just the same.  But this twisting of doctrine, and the word’s of Christ has got to stop.  It really bothers me, and it should bother you or any one who say’s they follow Christ.  This message of ‘radical love’ and liberation they say Christ taught is non-existent.

(Excerpt from Christian Post) As for the new married pastors, they are now focused on getting ready for Christmas.”Living my life true to myself and to God, and authentically with everyone else, I think that’s the most important thing,” said Newbill. As for Brown, she is at peace with her decision because she believes, “That the Gospel is a gospel of radical love and liberation. That was the main teaching of Jesus.” Lesbian Pastors Violate Methodist Book of Discipline and Wed Each Other; Say They Won’t Resign and Will Marry Gays in Church.

So what Doctrine are they teaching from?  What Gospel are they referring to?  Let’s take a look at the actual meaning of this word, and what the Bible say’s about it.

2 Timothy 4:  Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.…

The definition of Doctrine from Merriam Websters

archaic :  teaching, instruction    something that is taught ;  a principle or position or the body of principles in a branch of knowledge or system of belief :  dogma ; a principle of law established through past decisions ;  a statement of fundamental government policy especially in international relations ;  a military principle or set of strategies

What does the Bible say about Doctrine?

Deuteronomy 30:32 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

(Strong’s word # H3948) learning, teaching, insight

Job 11:4  For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

Proverbs 4:2  For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

Matthew 7:28  And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

Mark 1:27  And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Mark 11:18  And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

Luke 4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

This one passage explains everything you need to know about the law, doctrine and gospel of Christ:

  • Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
  •  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
  •  Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
  •  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I used this passage because those who promote homosexuality say the Old Testament was made null and void by Christ.  And it was not.  A large part of the Gospel of Christ is about Love.  He say’s this about love:

AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ “The second is this, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”  The scribe said to Him, “Right, Teacher; You have truly stated that HE IS ONE, AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE BESIDES HIM;…

None of Jesus’ teachings portray a type of hippie love for all and a free for all that goes against the very  plan of His Father.  Forget, Leviticus, where it say’s it’s an abomination for a man to lay with a man, forget Revelation where it say’s all sexually immoral people will be outside the gates.  Here is what the Father say’s :

Genesis 2:22-24

  • Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
  •  And Adam said:

“This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.”

  • Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

So there we have God’s plan, and Jesus did not go against that, He taught to fear God, and obey His commandments and laws, and teachings.  When he forgave the woman accused of adultery he said to her, ‘Neither do I accuse thee, go and sin no more.’  Not it’s ok, I love you, sin all you want, go and spread your love all around, it’s ok.  No he said, go and sin no more.  He came into a time much like today where there was much hatred, the Romans were persecuting Jews, Jews were planning a revolt to kill the Romans, sin was rampant.  So he taught to love one another, but second only to the love we have for the Father, and His laws.  This is an abomination, and is a sin.  A sin to cause people to stumble.  God will not hold us blameless.

This twisting of Christ’s gospel is an abomination, if you want to start your own church that teaches fleshly love, than do it, if you want to worship the world’s  False Christ than go for it, but stop leading people astray with your fleshly love, flattering,  tickle ear doctrine .   Do you think Christ would stand silent and watch what His Father’s house has been turned into?  Or would he overturn the tables, with whips screaming, ‘My Father’s House is a House of Prayer, and you have turned it into a House of thieves and robbers?’  Yes this applies.  You see the term thief and robber can apply to those who rob people of the truth.  So before you follow this doctrine you might want to read the Bible, read it for yourself and search the truth.  By deliberately twisting Christ’s teachings, you crucify Him again.

  1. This is of course disgusting. It is also a lie. A lot of the main line denominations are openly supporting this abomination as an acceptable lifestyle. They continue to use Name of CHRIST but go against HIM+ and fight against HIM+ with their lives.

There “will be weeping and gnashing of teeth”. I can understand your tears over this filth. I weep with you. The religious organizations are contradicting CHRIST. They do not enter the Kingdom “and they hinder those who would like to enter in”. There is a fearful accounting ahead. Bless you Brother

  2. One would think common sense would enter the picture when we think of two men and two woman together cannot make a child, But when they only look to their own way and not God’s they are then shown to be blinded from the truth and sent strong delusion so they can believe the lie that sin is alright! These are not my words, But God’s for they have chose to live a lie instead of live in the truth of the word! “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie”.
(2 Thessalonians 2:10,11). I don’t mind being hated for speaking the truth of God’s word…he loves these women, but they have turned their back on him!(Roman’s 1:26-32).
