My comment:  What makes men of God fall away from the faith.  I read 2 articles in the Christian Post this morning that set my head reeling.  I finally gained the strength to even comment on it.  This first one decided he was going to try Atheism for a year.  Well, you don’t try this, you don’t try on denying God, like trying a diet or a pair of jeans;  especially now when times are so evident that we are in the end times.  This one really bothers me.  I read an article yesterday as I researched extreme weather in the Bible, it was from an atheist group, and they were calling Christians ‘morons’, and some other choice names for believing in the end time.  They blamed all the world’s woes on us, because we don’t care enough to make sure our children have a good world to live in, because we believe a fake god will return.  I mean really.  They said the same thing we say about the godlessness, and lawlessness in the world but turned it to be Christians fault.  We know we will be hated by all for Jesus name, but this falling away from the faith never gets easy to watch.  It will become worse.  Don’t you find it odd, that churches and men of God, and Christians are falling all over themselves to welcome sin into their church, into their lives for the sake of pleasing the world?  That’s what is happening.  The homosexual movement will destroy what’s left of the church.

The second one is another example of men of God, and the church falling away by following after the world and it’s money.  Sad, so sad.

Former Pastor, Christian Educator Announces He’ll Become Atheist for a Year and Loses Every Job He Had For It

(Excerpt from C.P.)  A confused ex-pastor and Christian educator who was asked to resign from his post at the Hollywood Adventist Church last March for gay activism announced that he will be experimenting with atheism for the entire year and lost every job he had because of it.  Ex-pastor of Hollywood Adventist Church Ryan J. Bell, announced his unorthodox experiment in the Huffington Post on New Year’s Eve detailing his struggle with his faith and the difficulty he had in reconciling it with the treatment of homosexuals and women in the Adventist Church. Bell called himself a “faithful critic” who advocated for the equal inclusion of gays and women in church culture and leadership.

We would be very wise to heed these words of instruction from Paul in his letter 2Timothy 3:14-44:5

• But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 

• and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

• All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 
• that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Preach the Word

•  I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 
• Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 
• and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 
• But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
