(Washington Times)  Late night comedian Bill Maher told his HBO “Real Time” audience on Friday that God was a “psychotic mass murderer.” He made the comments during a conversation on the biblical story of Noah and the upcoming Hollywood version of it that’s about to hit the big screen.

“But the thing that’s really disturbing about Noah isn’t the silly, it’s that it’s immoral. It’s about a psychotic mass murderer who gets away with it, and his name is God,” Mr. Maher said, adding, “What kind of tyrant punishes everyone just to get back at the few he’s mad at? I guess we should be used to the vicious attacks on God from the New Age, the atheists, and the Satan worshipers.  It just never gets easy to see God attacked and Mocked in this way.  In the 60’s & 70’s there were late night mockers, there were mockers in every walk of life, but not as blatant, and not as in your face.  Christians were respected, our morals and values were in place in our constitution and in every aspect of our lives.  I truly never thought I would see this day when attacks on Christians and God were the norm.  When Christians were demonized and called ‘Monsters’.  We were warned by the Apostles this day would come, yet many have buried their heads in the world and refuse to see or acknowledge what has happened.  God will not remain silent, He doesn’t expect us to remain silent either.  He will not be mocked.

Genesis 6

• Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
• And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

• So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 
• But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
