My Comment: This is happening more and more. He ran away from school, yet the school isn’t held responsible. He’s 8 years old! His parents trusted the school, they were fully aware of his problem. So under the school’s care, he runs away, and they skate free, while the parents and child are punished. They found him, had the situation under control, and sent him back to the school in the back of a police car with strangers. I can’t believe how often this is happening. Police who used to be trained in handling and calming situations like this, are now making it worse and in some instances even causing death to special needs persons. Like the tazing of a down’s syndrome boy , and then there’s the one at the movie theater with a down’s syndrome boy, that led to his death as police wrestled him to the floor. And we are to trust the police? What kind of training are they receiving? And what training are they giving caretakers of these children? Hillside learning center boasts they are a school for behavior, and special needs and that there is a teacher for every 7 students. Read the full article.
He was charged with malicious destruction of police property and resisting and obstructing

(Daily Mail) A special needs student in Michigan is facing charges of malicious destruction of police property and resisting and obstructing – and he’s only eight-years-old.
Edward Hart attends the Hillside Learning and Behavior Center in Allegan, where he is known to have anger management issues.
On March 19 he ran away from the school – which he has had done before – with teachers and the principal chasing after him.
They caught up with Hart quite from the school at a party store.

This hit a nerve (close to home!!!) with me to point of seeing red! I have blogged in past on stories ….i.e…..Student in Florida school died of cardiac arrest from being forced to run laps, etc… in 100 degree weather and he “was” special needs”; another he was “special needs” and died of asphyxiation from damn “choke hold” for the policeman who restrained him. I go on and on with s**t I have witnessed and having worked with special needs children my self. Parents would go ballistic and “real press” BLOGGERS THAT IS would have a field day with it. If one were to research obamacare it would be found what their “plans” are for the “disabled, special needs, those terminally ill, and with mental illnesses are”!!! Frankenstein is a saint compared the “nightmare” embedded in the obamacare crap.

Yes, it did me too. I have worked with special needs too, and this is unacceptable. And yes I agree what the obamacare is going to do to special needs and the elderly is not good.

Whoever allowed that report to go out without proofreading needs some serious work in learning to write properly. Really bad reporting.
