With the disturbing reports from Iraq showing the slaughter and forced conversions of Christians I have come to realize the difficulty in convincing the public that this is actually taking place. There are reports of mass executions, threats of death to Christians who refuse to pay an Islamic tax or convert, as well as destruction of centuries old historic relics. This is the norm for this ideology. To destroy any evidence of historical value to anyone other than them. To completely wipe out all vestiges of Holy relics, and those who are different. We see this not only in Iraq, but Pakistan and other Islamic countries. And yet these countries tout the words democracy in their constitution. And Pakistan is one of the top persecutors of Christians. The list goes on and on, Lybia, Sudan, Nigeria, Afganistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon. It envelopes the whole of the Middle East and Africa. Israel is the only democratic country in the entire middle east that doesn’t persecute other religious minorities and they are under constant attack.
While the media is beginning to cover the persecution faced by Christians, I found it somewhat encouraging that the House of Representatives adopted a bill (H. Res. 683) recognizing this. In fact the bill states that for the first time in 1600 years there was no Christian mass held in Mosul.
It states that over 500,000 people have been displaced by ISIL. They admit that ISIL is a sunni insurgency with roots in Al-Queda, and Jabhat Al Nusra in Syria. With a goal of establishing an Islamic State & Caliphate across the Levant through violence.
“The Levant today consists of the island of Cyprus,Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and part of southern Turkey (the former Aleppo Vilayet).”
“Precise definitions have varied over time, and the term originally had a broader and less well-defined usage. The Levant has been described as the “crossroads of western Asia, the eastern Mediterranean and northeast Africa”,and the “northwest of the Arabian plate”.
Our Lawmakers are reaffirming their commitment to religious freedom around the world. They say that the US government has given $73 million dollars in aid to religious minorities.
This bill was introduced by Rep. Vargus. Rep. Frank Wolfe is also working for the persecuted. We have reported the tireless work of Rep. Wolfe before. Rep. Wolfe is due to retire soon, who will carry on his work?
And why is it that President Obama refuses to appoint a middle eastern envoy to monitor persecution? Marco Rubio is the latest law maker to call on Obama to appoint an envoy.
He cites the latest case of Meriam Ibrahim as a prime example. Someone to intervene on behalf of those facing the same fates such as Saeed Abidini, Kenneth Bae and a multitude of others. But there is silence from the White House, with an occasional statement of condemnation or a general statement that say’s Freedom of Worship is a world right, but nothing to back it up. No outrage, no real condemnation, only silence while this reaches a world wide genocide. An envoy would not cure the problem but it would most certainly be a start. A start to hold governments accountable to their stated constitution of freedom of rights, a intervention point for people like Meriam. But he refuses. You can’t speak and not act, which is what he is best at.
As you can see from the map above, Israel is still the only hold out. This is what ISIL is working so hard to control, a new Caliphate that would control the entire region. Recognize the importance of this. Help more to understand, and band together in your church to pray for those persecuted and those fighting persecution.

Throughout the ages many view anything even if horrific as all this is as nothing that will touch them since it’s not in their region, yet they fail to understand many are our neighbors and it is not just those who live next door to us. Jesus answered this when the lawyer asked him who is my neighbor and it was the good Samaritan which fit the bill of doing his will as others turned a blind eye to the need that was present before them. This tunnel vision on the part of many will cause the demise of more than should be taken. How many keep their bibles closed and lack the wisdom we need to apply as our neighbors all over the nation suffers. Prayers are in order for all people as it will bring about the moving of God just as we saw with Moses and anyone else who took up the holy word and moved forward as God went before and behind his people.

Reblogged this on NoWorksSalvationApocalypseNow and commented:
The silence is deafening and all those in Washington that knew of the funding of ISIS and the arming of ISIS should be in jail. The policies coming out of Washington do not represent the American public. We don’t want to be associated with homicidal killers but this administration has no problem avoiding this issue. The point that it took this long to get some bill acknowledging the destruction of Christians and Western civilization by supposedly Democratic representatives is long overdo.
