Witness The Great Falling Away

It has become increasingly clear that western church’s are in a great falling away from the doctrine that Christ taught, the warnings of the prophets and the word of God throughout the Bible.  The excuses that are resounding around the world are that ‘times are changing’, ‘the world has changed’, or God’s words are being twisted and left out to remain palatial and even conforming to meet the current sins of the day.  Words like ‘politically correct’, and ‘relevance’ are being used to justify the churches new stance on things such as gay marriage.

Most recently the Pope has given his Bishops a mission to talk about softening the Catholic’s church stance on gay marriage, and divorce.  What the Pope says is that God likes change.  And Hillsong’s Pastor Houston has come under fire for saying that it’s difficult for churches to remain relevant.  Unfortunately other words for relevant is conformant, or conforming.  The churches of today are conforming to pressures from secular bodies, and in so doing are throwing the word of God into a shredder.  Who is man that he knows the mind of God?

Job 15:8

Were you listening at God’s secret council? Do you have a monopoly on wisdom?

1Corinthians 2:16

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Here is an article that I feel is worth the read, as it points out scripture and the weakness of the church today and the Body of Christ as it conforms to the very world that Christ warned us to come out of.

Did Jesus Call Us to Be Relevant?

Matthew 28:18

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.”

So does this sound like Jesus called us to conform?  Does this sound like Jesus wanted us to be relevant to the times we live in?  Did Jesus give us permission to change His word to conform?  It’s time for the Body of Christ to wake up, it’s time for the church to wake up.  It’s time to turn to God.  It’s time to stop listening to man and listen to the living word of God, it’s not dead, God’s word is alive!  It’s this very word of God that the Spirit uses to draw us to Him.  Let us Humble ourselves before God and remember that His word breathes life, not man.

  2. you hit the nail on the head in this article when yopu said ” the excuses are resounding ” as to how people find every way to serve Christ, but the truth is it is easier to hear a person at a pulpit than to take the time and actually open the bible for themselves and learn. God Bless You.

  3. We are to be a separate and a holy people living by our LORD’S value system. Walking in HIS+ Ways, being conformed to HIS+ Image and Likeness.

    1st Peter 2:9
“For you are a called out race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possesion, so that you may openly speak of the virtues of The ONE+ Who has called you out of darkness into HIS+ marvelous Light.” ( literal Greek )

If we compromise with the world we become a part of the world. NOT good! For this world is passing away, and the lusts of it, the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, but those who do the will of GOD abide forever.

It is time for SERIOUS repentance. GOD is Love, but to those who fight against HIM and make themselves HIS+ enemy, HE is a Consuming Fire, and HE is no respecter of persons.

Peace to the Disciples of The Beloved+ Amen + + +
