” What Is It To Believe? “

thCA59ECAH

How many have had a relationship that we trusted as being a Christian one, only to be taken by surprise as we were clinging to the words of Christianity we were familiar with yet somehow really weren’t a believer after all. ( 1 John 4:1-3). Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Those who love righteousness and hold to the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ and are not ashamed of the gospel as salvation is given to those who believe. (Romans 1:16,17). For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The power of God is through his Son which either condemns or saves as it is our own choice to believe in the light (Christ) God has sent for the saving of all mankind. If anyone chooses evil is blantently denying the truth that would of set them free! (John 3:16-21).

Some unfortunately are under the impression once saved always saved, yet we have an example of the Lord saving the Israelites and some still that did not believe were destroyed. (Jude 1: 5).  I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

  1. ladyofroyalhorses…..I think you are referring to when the people were told to stay silent when overtaking the walls of Jerico and then were told to sound the trumpets and give a great shout and the walls of Jerico fell. Psalm 137 may be helpful. You are correct Rafa is not aware of some of the gifts and talents he has been given.God Bless You.

  2. Hayden…..I really appreciate the information you have given of just where the once saved always saved doctrine came from. I enjoy learning truth that debunks mans confused teachings that take many from our Father. As you said we know who is the author of confusion and nothing scatters the sheep more than a confused shepherd, God Bless And Keep You.

  3. Hi. I have two questions. First, what verse is it in the Bible where the Jews were in captivity and they said they were unable too play their instruments or sing their songs? Second, there is a tennis player who has everything-accept faith in God. Where does he think his gifts came from? His looks talent, fame at a relatively young age. Second or third in the world. My friend it was because of the Catholic religion in Spain. but God is a being not a religion. I was upset by Rafa’s lack of faith. Since I like him a lot. What do you think?

    • The only thing I can find is when the Jews were in the 70 year captivity of Babylon, and the Psalms speak of their discouragement. This is one that I’ve read when studying their 70 year captivity:
      Psalm 137
1 By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept When we remembered Zion.
2 We hung our harps Upon the willows in the midst of it.
3 For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, And those who plundered us requested mirth, Saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!”
4 How shall we sing the LORD’s song In a foreign land?

  4. Sister Julia, you are very right about the “once saved-always saved” teaching, The Augustinian doctrine of unconditional eternal security.

This false teaching, which did not come into the Early Church until the forth century originated in Augustine’s gnostic background with the Manicheans.

It was NEVER taught by the Apostles. In fact The Apostles taught that “faith without the works” of obedience to CHRIST was DEAD!! ( James 2:20 & 2:26 )

They, the Apostles, taught that “if we deny CHRIST with our lives and our choices HE+ will deny us!! (2 Timothy 2:12)

This is quite frightening for todays “cheap grace-easy believism ” churches. The HUSBANDMAN/The FATHER, comes looking for fruit of the VINE+.. If no fruit is found the branch is taken away from the VINE+!!.

. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS. Eternity is very long. Fruitless branches are gathered and cast into fire.

This “once saved-always saved” teaching did not exist in the Ancient Church. It was promoted and formulated from 400 years (Augustine) to 1,500 years (the reformers) AFTER our LORD+ delivered the Gospel of Life to the world! After the Apostles taught directly from CHRIST and established HIS+ Ecclesia, HIS+ Church,

HIS+ WORDS STAND FOREVER. The doctrines of men do not stand at all, but lead astray into confusion,. and we know who the author of confusion is!
    Peace+ to you Sister. Amen + + +.
