King of the Jews
Christ our Passover is Sacrificed for us.
.
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness but with the unleavened Bread of Purity and Truth.
1 Corinthians 5: 6-8
At the hour of the Morning Sacrifice ( 9:00 ) in The Temple at Jerusalem, our LORD+ was nailed to the wood of the Cross on Calvary.
At that very hour, the Trumpets at the Temple sounded long and loud.
At the Noon time hour, the brightest time of the day, Darkness came upon the earth.
Ancient writings from that time state that the people in Jerusalem had to light lamps and candles to see anything at all, it was so very dark.
At the hour of the evening sacrifice in the Temple (3:00) our LORD+ SHOUTED with a LOUD Voice,
” IT IS FINISHED. FATHER , INTO YOUR HANDS I+ COMMIT MY SPIRIT!”
And HE+ bowed HIS+ Head and released HIS+ SPIRIT, and descended in Victory into the heart of the earth.
( Matthew 12:40 )
From the PRECISE TIME between the Morning and Evening Sacrifice, our Lord JESUS remained on the Cross, fulfilling that which was prefigured in the Sacrificial system in The Tabernacle and later in the Temple. Not more, not less, but PRECISELY that amount of time.
And the Trumpets at the Temple sounded Long and Loud…
AS WELL THEY SHOULD !!
CHRIST our PASSOVER was very busy in the heart of the earth, for Three Days and Three nights, to the glorious Joy of some and to the Fear and Terror of others.
HE+ had finished it! HE+ descended into the heart of the earth as a CONQUEROR, as a TOTAL VICTOR!
HE+ had FINISHED IT, and the way was now open, through the torn veil of HIS+ most Blessed Flesh and the Shedding forth of HIS+ MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD.
HE+ had BROKEN the chains of Death and Darkness that had held the Adamic race bound to the ” father of lies” for so long.
HE+ made the Way clear for ALL who CHOOSE, to Come to HIM+ for LIFE.
GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!
CHRIST OUR PASSOVER IS SACRIFICED FOR US!
Will we ever be able to comprehend what it cost our LORD+ to bring us out of death and into Life Eternal?
Perhaps some day.
