” The Day Of Jacobs Trouble “

It seems as a riddle to understand what is Jacobs’s trouble? As we know Jacobs life has come and gone, but scripture is speaking of the Israel of God since God renamed Jacob to Israel and this is the Israel of Gods inheritance. (Genesis 32: 27-28 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed……… 35:9,10)…… (Psalm 78:68-72) So the day of Jacobs/Israel’s trouble will be a most treacherous time just before Christ’s return, but His people are not to be afraid for He is with us! (Jeremiah 30:7-11).

Daniel was given a vision of what the times would be like at the end, a time of great trouble that will be like no other! It will be a turbulent time, yet those who are written in the book of life will be delivered at that time and the wise will shine as the brightness of the firmament. (Daniel 12:1-3) And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever….. (Revelation 12:7-12).

Jesus said He would never leave us nor forsake us, and in the most perilous of times we have the Lord for a refuge to be a stronghold for us. (Psalm 9:7-10). But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

  2. Julia, as we watch the time of Jacobs trouble taking shape, we can rest in the fact that The LORD says that HE+ will save him, Jacob, out of it. Not a hair of our head shall perish! The LORD+ keeps all who love HIM+, but the wicked HE+ will destroy. Psalm 145:29 Bless you Sister.
