God has a way of making sure those who truly are willing to live for Him understand that they will to the world be looked at as “A Different People”……… No they do not appear different on the outside, but on the inside they are different and have been changed by the Holy Spirit. They are zealous of good works and seen as peculiar according to the world’s standards, but then by the grace of God so have many gone before them and were willing to suffer for Christ’s sake no matter what. ((Titus 2:11-15). For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Jesus said the world would know we stand for Him by following a new commandment He has given which is to love one another, a condition the world has a lack of …….. but we are known as His disciples by the love we show for one another. (John 13:34-35). A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
How many go from church to church searching for the truth while others are perfectly happy staying where they have been for many years. I will never forget the last one hour a week service I went to only this time looking up and saying how tired I was singing a couple songs (sometimes same one from previous week) and not really learning about my Lord and Saviour for it had all became vain repetition and no real teaching. My life instantly changed the very next time I opened my bible I opened to Isaiah 43:9-13 and must have read and reread verse 12 many times! God my Father in heaven who knows each and every heart knew how long I had been searching for Him to no avail and from that day forth have never looked back to mans religion for answers, but to the scriptures that by His Holy Spirit guides us to the answer we are searching for…………………..But this all goes with being rejected by those you no longer follow and persecuted for being “A Different People”! (Isaiah 43:9-13) Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth. Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?…….. (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

While these three boys must have seemed odd and different not to bow to the king or his god they are proof of the Almighty God we serve in Spirit and in truth! The world will always need to see what they worship but God knows those who have chose to follow in the unseen way of Faith. What a Blessing your comment is. An ensample of being different in our God and Lord is these brothers who we will see in eternity, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and there have been many brothers and sister like this since this happening.
Daniel 3:14-18 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee,
O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Note their answer to the King:
1. In faith they told the king their God would deliver them. No doubt because they KNEW their God intimately.
2. Without hesitation they answered the King for their heart was not on any man’s kingdom or laws but on their heavenly king and Lord.
And we know the result. Do we have this courage or will we fall away? The time for wishy washy belief in our God, their God, my God is coming to a close.
No matter where we are in the world we in the western worlds will be face the same issue as many already are in other lands have faced and freely given up their lives.
Father I pray that when we face this time we will be like our brothers above, and many in the present who without hesitation have uttered similar words and gladly given up their earthly lives that will too will boldly state that we will never bow down to any false God and if death comes then let it be so for the glory of your name and our savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a peculiar people in Christ Jesus, let your light shine in us so all men are drawn unto you in these times even unto death.
Thank you for those who have gone before us showing this example so that the same strength and courage is given to us so that our deaths will glorify you in in all your glory.
Spirit and the bride say come Lord Jesus come.
