Psalm 135:5
For I know that the Lord is great,
And our Lord is above all gods.
There are many mentions of God’s in the pleural in our Bible. Why do you think that is so? Could it be a warning to us today? “For those that have eyes….”.
How about the First Commandment?
THOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME
Modern day Pastors have turned this to mean worshipping your house, your car, your job, the worldly things. While there is some truth to that it does a dis-service to Christians. This teaching does away with the true meaning of this Commandment.
Baal, Ashtoreth, and Molech are just 3 mentioned in the Bible.
Read Acts in the new testament its replete with Paul Preaching in cities of idol worship of pagan gods. One passage mentions that they even erected an unknown God’s idol.
Satan told Eve in the Garden if you eat from this tree of knowledge you be be like the gods. Genesis 3:5. Telling them they would know good and evil. One of the greatest lies told mankind by Satan. It was the beginning of the twisting to call evil good and good evil.

Good post!
We are seeing so much of this as the organized church falls away and much of the time is “leading the charge” in apostasy.
Loads of seminary, lots of qualifications, all to feed the organization lie and push the “party line”.
May The LORD+ help the little ones who desire to live in HIS+ Presence continually. The GOOD SHEPHERD feeds HIS+ Flock, and keeps them for HIMSELF+.
Bless you Sister

It’s true, most pastors today are worshiping money, did you read about the scandal in a catholic church, in NY i think where a priest was caught spending the church money on a gay prostitute and travelling around the world? Such a man is as good as godless.

No I haven’t read that but there are many of all denominations falling away caring more about buildings and money than the lost or the word of God.
